About

A group of like minded people from the upstate of South Carolina became fed up with traditional television networks and decided to create something better. In 2022 they incorporated the Sentinel Broadcast Network, the first all volunteer, publicly funded television network dedicated to improving the lives and prosperity of the residents and businesses of the Palmetto State.

The 360 Difference

"I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to death your right to say it."

It's unclear who coined that phrase, but it expresses the essence of the first amendment protecting free speech. Soldiers have died so Americans can speak freely without fear of government reprisal. There is too much talk today about limiting speech that violates some form of community consensus or government policy. If only one view is allowed then facts become irrelevant. The point is, people reach conclusions that affect their lives based on the facts as they know them. Their conclusions will be flawed when critical facts are withheld or when opinions are presented as facts or when an outright lie is told as a fact. SBN is dedicated to reporting facts... all of them!

Much of the news on TV today is commentary news, which is another way of saying it's an opinion. The problem with opinions is they could be based on selected facts that support the commentator's point of view. Those are "biased opinions" often reported as facts. When the same opinions are reported, nearly word for word, from several news sources, it's easy to see how the public could interpret those opinions as facts. And equally important, bias is not limited to news. Biased opinions have found their way into government, entertainment, classrooms, the workplace, and even into many pulpits.

After nearly two years of physical and mental lock-down, Americans are coming out of the "Covid fog" and they see disconnects with what they were told to do and why. They were mandated by law to stay at home, wear a mask, keep their distance and take a vaccine. But regardless of how diligently government and media have worked to control the narrative, contradicting facts are leaking out. The public is beginning to question how much of the Covid pandemic was fabricated and why. Did they waste two years of their lives based on biased opinions? People are demanding answers and this time they expect the truth.

SBN is dedicated to just that... the truth. Our mission is to create network programs free from bias and propaganda. It will be a safe place where children are educated, not indoctrinated. No network can be perfect, but SBN News is committed to presenting all the facts. When an opinion is generally accepted by the public as fact, SBN may mention it as an opinion and offer contrasting opinions from other sources. That's the concept of 360 News. Report the news from all angles and let viewers decide.

Technology

The South Carolina channel for the SBN network will be MySCTV. However, it's not a channel broadcast over the air. It uses a technology called IPTV, which is short for Internet Protocol Television. In other words, the channel is broadcast over the Internet. It's available on your computer (at MySC.TV) but to get the real experience you will want to watch on your TV with the larger picture and CD quality sound. The MySCTV streaming channel will be available after the official network launch scheduled for second quarter 2023. Until then, checkout our on-demand content on YouTube and Rumble.

MySC.TV will not be a premium channel - it's free to everyone. We won't have commercials either. You will watch our shows from start to finish without interruption. SBN doesn't accept money from the government. And none of us are independently wealthy. We do, however, accept donations! In fact, any donation you make to SBN is 100% tax deductible. So click the DONATE button before you go and be a part of something truly great. Join with us to make South Carolina a better and more prosperous place to live.

How to recieve IPTV:

Media Players

Media players made IPTV possible. Roku was a pioneer. Then the big names followed; Amazon, Apple, and Google. Media players have been around a long time. Some are incredibly small. But don't let their size fool you. Media players are very smart devices. One side connects to the Internet and other to your television. When you select something to watch, the player tells that channel to start broadcasting to you. Then, as the content streams into your home over the Internet, the media player converts it into the Video and Audio your TV needs to show it on the screen. Pretty amazing stuff!

Smart TVs

It wasn't just Big Tech who saw the media player boom. So did Big TV. Manufacturers reasoned they could build a smart media player into the TV itself and call it... a "Smart TV."  Suddenly every TV is a Smart TV. That would be a good thing if all media players worked the same. The added expense of supporting so many different media player brands has channel operators making hard decisions. All channels may not be able to afford to be on all brands. Keep that in mind when purchasing a smart TV or media player.

Mobile Devices

Computers are great. Just install a piece of software and they do more. A smart phone is simply a miniature computer. Install the MySCTV app (available soon at your phone's app store) and get instant access to our shows and news on your phone for free.
